For heads of departments

AN OVERVIEW OF OFFERS FROM LEARNING LAB

All heads of department at AAU have a big responsibility ensuring that their academic staff are continuing to deliver their teaching duties at the highest standards and enjoy this important part of their work at University.

Learning Lab’s responsibility is to make sure that this aim can be achieved and is offering different courses for example workshops targeting academic staff, who are new to AAU and PBL to equip them with all the basics in higher education pedagogy at this institution.

We are also offering specific workshop afternoons for experienced staff on a variety of topics where they also have an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge and ask for clarifications or where they are introduced to new pedagogical activities or teaching innovations.

The different activities we offer vary not only thematically but also in how long these workshops are, varying from single afternoon sessions to workshops that last a few days. We integrate online activities to accommodate for more flexible pedagogical qualifications.

LEARNING LAB ON DEMAND

We also offer workshops in response to on demand requests by groups who have very particular wishes and needs in a specific discipline or can organise local pedagogical days. Learning lab on demand.

As we have done for years, Learning Lab is continuing to offer the pedagogical qualifications gained through the Adjunktpædagogikum and this includes now also a certification in teaching in English.

Learning Lab is connected to a variety of groups and networks of specialists from all faculties at AAU supporting their focus or resources on different aspects to do with higher education pedagogy including VILA – video research lab, PBL academy, Unesco centre and more.
